What SEO tools are installed (e.g., Yoast, RankMath)?
If you’re not sure whether your WordPress site is using Yoast, Rank Math, or another SEO plugin, you can confirm this in just a few steps.
Prerequisites
You’ll need access to your WordPress dashboard with an account that has admin permissions.
Steps
Log in to your WordPress dashboard
Enter your admin username and password.
Go to Installed Plugins
In the left-hand menu, select Plugins > Installed Plugins.
Look for SEO plugins
Scroll through the list of plugins. Common SEO tools include:
- Yoast SEO
- Rank Math SEO
- All in One SEO
- SEOPress
- The SEO Framework
Check whether the plugin is active
Active plugins will show a Deactivate button. Inactive plugins will show an Activate button.
Alternative method: Check the site front end
If you don’t have admin access, you can sometimes spot SEO tools by viewing your site’s source code.
- Right-click anywhere on your site and select View Page Source.
- Use
Ctrl+F(Windows) orCmd+F(Mac) to search for terms likeyoast,rank-math, oraioseo - If present, you’ll usually see meta tags or comments showing which plugin is active.
Troubleshooting
I don’t see any SEO plugins installed.
Your site may not be using one yet. Many WordPress sites use only one SEO plugin at a time.
Can I install multiple SEO plugins?
It’s not recommended. Running more than one SEO plugin can cause conflicts or duplicate meta tags.
